How to convert an image
Drop one or more images onto the box or click it to choose files, then pick JPG, PNG or WebP. Each image is converted straight away. Download them one by one or all at once. You can convert up to 50 images at a time, and switching the format converts them all again.
The conversion runs inside your browser, so your images are never uploaded and there are no limits on how often you use it.
Which format should you choose?

Common conversions
WebP to JPG or PNG. Many images saved from websites are WebP, which some older apps, editors and upload forms don't accept. Converting to JPG (photos) or PNG (graphics) fixes that.
PNG to JPG. Makes photos and screenshots much smaller. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose; white is the default.
JPG or PNG to WebP. The best choice for images on your own website, because smaller files make pages load faster. WordPress, Shopify and all modern browsers support WebP.
JPG to PNG. Useful when an app requires PNG, but it won't improve quality: the detail lost when the JPG was saved can't be brought back, and the PNG file will be larger.
Quality and transparency
The quality slider applies when converting to JPG or WebP. At 90 percent and above, the result looks the same as the original. PNG is lossless, so the slider doesn't affect it. Animated GIFs are converted using their first frame. iPhone HEIC photos can't be opened by most browsers; set your camera to "Most Compatible" or export them as JPG first. To change the size of an image as well, use the Image Resizer, and to make files as small as possible, use the Image Compressor.

Will converting PNG to JPG lose transparency?

Can I convert HEIC photos?
Most browsers can't open HEIC. Export the photo as JPG on your iPhone or set the camera to "Most Compatible" first.
